Men and women's figures photograph very differently, as you may imagine. While you might want a more head-on angle to emphasize a man's physique, you want to create an "S Curve" when photographing women. In "a" below, her body is facing the camera more directly, making her appear wider than she actually is. In "b," her hips are facing away from the camera while her torso is turned toward the camera. This pose dramatically emphasizes her slender waist. Another improvement that can be made to this pose is demonstrated in "c." In the last example, I asked her to point the toe and pop the heel of her camera-side foot. This adjustment adds another slimming curve.
